Ten year-old Wadjda wants a bike. The perfect candidate is at the front of the local toy shop but this is Riyadh and the prejudices that prevent Wadjda’s mother from slipping behind the wheel of a car and driving herself to work are stopping Wadjda from hopping on a bike and riding down the street.
