Referring to the previous reading lesson on Synthesinsing. Students worked today to make their thinking visible. Using thinking techniques such as ‘The Explanation Game’ helping students take their reading comprehension to a deeper level.
Well Done 5/6J on an excellent reading lesson and I look forward to take your thinking deeper tomorrow.

What is that big word syntthesising? (Grace)
Synthesinsing Grace means to change talk about how your thinking has changed when you read a book. We call it in grade 5/6 transforming our thinking. Thank you for visiting our blog.
From Mrs Joyce
Mrs Joyce I loved the synthesising game, hopefully we can do more on the synthesising game because when I saw some of those pictures I thought these kids were waiting for someone like Santa because one of the pictures said X-mas 1955. But when I read the book I realised that it was nothing like that and I felt like my head was about to explode.
So Mrs Joyce can we keep on working on the synthesising game if we can. 😄
I think it was very interesting how my thinking changed when we did the synthesising yesterday because when my thinking changed I didn’t know that it changed till Mrs Joyce said that the date on the stone was different when the ghost of the hut died so that instantly told myself that my thinking changed!
