Using Similes in Our Writing

LI: To understand the difference between a simile and a metaphor.

This week we need to work on our 100 word challenge but I would like to add a twist. Can you place a simile or Metaphor in your writing?

But what is a simile or a metaphor?

 

Today we are going to use the colours of the rainbow to practice similes. Look at the example and lets try some colours together. Use your Writer’s Notebook to record your thinking. Don’t forget to take a photo with the ipad to record your work and provide evidence for reflection.
