Street Basketball Program

Hi all,  we are starting a Street Basketball Program on Saturday’s staring May 11 at Traralgon Secondary College as a trial initiative.
The event will be open to everyone, but we are specifically encouraging young people from Refugee and New Arrival backgrounds that may not be playing organised sport, especially basketball.
The event is free and supported by Basketball Victoria Country and the State Government ‘More People More Active’ program.

Our aim is to do some skills games with primary aged children at 11am and then some 3 on 3 games at Midday with Secondary School age students.

Any help in promoting these events would be most appreciated and a flyer is attached to assist circulate the information.

We have also started a facebook page –www.facebook.com/streetball3844 –  and you can encourage young people to find us there!

Also if your organisation would like to be involved in some way please let me know.  We are looking for prizes and help on the days.
