Why Do White People Have Black Spots?
5/6J and all our Global Friends I stumbled upon this video while exploring www.epals.com tonight. The children of Ghana have prepared questions for the world and they tell us about their perspective of the world. Inspirational stuff.
5/6J you must prepare a response to one of the questions the children of Ghana have asked. We will explore the questions and answer them the best we can.
Ghana asks why don’t we wash our cloths with our hands
Answer: Well we have a machine that is called a washing machine that washes our cloths,
All we have to is load our cloths into the machine and press some buttons and it washes our cloths for us! 🙂
Wow Ben I like how you discribed the washing machine. Well done Ben.
wow ben i really like that comment
Ghana asks what we do when our people pass away. When our people pass away we have a funeral. a funeral is when people that knew that person go there a give speeches. after the funeral we take them to a cemetry and bury them.
What we do to our dead people is burrie them and give them a funeral and a funeral is where when your loved ones pass away we give them that and it shows that we all will respect them while they passed away. Where we put them is in the ground with coffins at the cemetary.
If someone dies we have something could a funeral,we put the person who died into a coffin. A coffin is a type of box with this special silk inside so it is comefortable. We talk about their life and what they like and dislike! Then we take them to the cemetary where the body gets burried.
If you give birth, you don’t carry the baby on your back?
Some of us carry our baby on our back in a pouch. The pouch is like a backpack but it holes for the baby’s legs. We also carry our baby on our chest with a pouch. We also have prams that we push the baby in. A pram is like a bike exept you push it on four wheels and there is a back for the baby to lean on. There are prams with two seats so if you have two babies you can have one pram.
My question is: What do your people when they die?
We have funerals for the beloved ones that have died. We put them in a coffin and then put them in a grave. Do you know what grave’s are? They are big wide holes in the ground. We put stone infront of their grave. The stones have their name on it. It cost money to get them made for you. We have ceremonies for them. We can have them at different places.
Oh and the graves are at cemetery’s.
Ghana asks if there is alot of mosquitos in Australia. Yes there is alot of mosquitos in Australia. They can get very annoying especially when your at the beach or when your out caming. Mosquitos are normally around at night time and in summer. I don’t like mosqitos.
Question: Why don’t you wash your clothes with your hands?
Answer: We have machines called washing machines to wash your clothes. What you do is open the lid on the machine, then put your clothes in the hole, then open a draw in the machine and put in some special powder and liquid in the draw, then close the draw and the lid of the machine, then press the right combination of buttons that are on the machine and then the machine will start washing your clothes.
With our cloths we have a washing machine which is used by power and we have to put this powder in it and it washes it by turning around and around and it also makes our cloths smell lovely. It makes our cloths very clean but sometimes is shrinks them because we use hot water which mean that it gets smaller.
Ghana said why don’t you carry babies on your back. Because we somtimes we put them in a pram. A pram is a thing you put babies in and push them we hold them when there born.
We have a machine that washers or colthes the machine is like you your colthes in it and you have to put like soap. Will put washing powder and then will wait for a hour for the machine to finsh washing or colthes.
Ghana asks: Why don’t we carry babies on our back?
Answer: In fact some of us do carry babies on our back but again some of us don’t.
We mostly carry our babies in prams.
A pram is a baby carier on wheels! 🙂
We have mosquitos in Australia. They can be very annoying especially when you go to the beach or camping in the bush. We have to put special stuff on our skin to keep the mozzies away. They do not like the smell and they stay away. Most of the time the mosquitos come out at night time when the sun starts to go down. They are worse in the summer and after we have had lots of rain.
Why don’t we carry babies on our backs. We have prams to push around and carry the babies and so we don’t get puffed out.
Your question:why people outside the country think Ghana is dirty? My Answer: We have a smaller population.I don’t think Ghana is dirty but other people do because they don’t know the purpose of your country.Your country is a very nice place and it has very nice kids and adults in it :).
Wher does the body go when they die?
It gets brered ro crumated
They get a choose if they want to get burred or cremated before there death then they have a funeral then they rest in peace.
I don’t know but they are different to as, but we will treet you like you are part of the world.
Hello,
My name is Kayleigh and I can answer your question. What do people do with dead people? We keep the body when we have a funeral and we share the way he/she showed a remarkable rollmodal for young kids. Then we have a moment of silence. After the funeral the family goes to a sematry were they beary the girl/boy under ground. Then they put a grave stone just above the head saying there name and R.I.P (rest in peace). Thanckyou for cumunicating with use.

Dear Mrs Joyce, I HAVE AN IDEA!!!! IT IS LIGHTING UP MY HEAD!
MY FANTASTIC IDEA: Why dont we make a video like this, asking questions to people like this but from over seas not our country because we live here! IT WOULD BE SO MUCH FUN!!!! PLEASE!!!!! But we dont have to. Because I know we have Inquiry and we are busy most of the time and we cant fit it in. BUT wont it be part of inquiry? CULTURAL? WE CAN ASK ABOUT THEIR CULTURE! Sorry bout the caps…. 😛
Lets do it! Tomorrow we will come up with the questions. I’ll look for a video app on my phone that we can edit and make it real like this video. I think this is an ambitious idea that we can make it work. Thanks for your thoughts Heidie!!!!!
EHHHHHH IM SOO EXCITED!!! We will have to set it up though right? Oh and your welcome Mrs Joyce. I just thought that videos can be a good social thing to do. For the shy people that want to ask questions. We can know more about their culture and what they do. WHERE ARE WE SETTING IT UP?
