Explanation Writing
After your Writer’s gift audit, I have noticed we really don’t have many explanation pieces of writing. So today, we are spotlighting explanation writing and do I have a surprise for you.
After some explicit teaching time in our crafting session we are going to watch the following media clip and see if we can prepare an explanation.
this was a really cool thing when i tryed it, when i tryed to do it the first couple of times the yolk kept splitting up and losin its main shape.
Scott how do you feel about having this as our science for the week? or should I find another science task we could write an explanation about? Interested to know your thoughts 🙂
This experiment was good I fined it arvrage but if you could get a better one then that would be great. P.S. thanks for the feed back.
I tried this and I really enjoyed repeatedly moving the yok from it’s egg white back and fourth until it broke. 🙁 That was devastating. I would like that as our science experiment Mrs Joyce for this week because it is such an en(joy)able thing I think the class would get a kick out of it!
This worked well to separate the yolk from the white. The only trouble I had was keeping the yolk in the bottle once I got it there. It would be fun for a Science experiment, especially explaining how it all works.
