Room 13 Stanmore Bay, 56J took Kapai to visit their Grade Prep Buddies. Each week our grade spends an hour mentoring our Prep friends. Grade Prep in Australia is the very first year of school. We Know that in New Zealand you start school at 5 years of age. In Australia you start school as long as you turn 5 by April 30th. So some children can be 4 when they actually start the year.
Each week we work with our Buddies on a task that links with our classrooms. So you guessed it, we took Kapai to meet them. We had a task where all the students has to draw Kapai. I’m am placing all the drawings in the mail on Monday because they all have done a fabulous job.

Kapai looks like he was having soooo much fun hanging out with our buddies. He got to know everyone and look at all the drawings of him by the 5/6’s and the preps.
It looks like Kapai is meeting lots of new friends over here in Australia. He must love all the drawings that the Preps and the 5/6’s did for him. I have to say is that all the pictures of Kapai are AMAZING!!!
Mrs Joyce, Kapai is very cute and since he has been in Australia, he has done a lot of things that are way different to what he did in New Zealand. He must REALLY LOVE adventures!!

Looks like Kapai is making heaps of wonderful friends by the looks of all of these drawing of Kapai. Kapai has had heaps drawings made for him to take home with him.

Oh my goodness these photos are great and we look forward to receiving your pictures. Kanga went home with Harry this weekend and Koala with Candice. I am sure that they will update you on Monday with all that they did.
Mrs Joyce took Kapai home on Friday for the weekend because she left early. On Wednesday Riley.A took Kapai to his house and decided that he goes for Richmond tigers.On Thursday night Corey took Kapai to his house and he played the Xbox.
How is Kanga and Koala going? Kapai has had so much fun. Kapai has come outside to play with me and my friends. I can’t wait until our class pajama party because I’m going to make Kapai some pajamas to wear pajama day. Won’t that be awesome.
